The Post-Crescent

The Post-Crescent is a daily newspaper based in Appleton, Wisconsin. Part of the Gannett chain of newspapers, it is primarily distributed in numerous counties surrounding the Appleton area.

The paper moved to its current Washington Street location in 1932, and remained family owned until 1983 when it was purchased by Thomson. Production of The Post-Crescent moved to a new production facility on July 11, 2000, and the sale of the paper to Gannett was completed 10 days later. The facility now serves as the publishing site for five Gannett Wisconsin Newspapers, including The Post-Crescent. The P-C celebrated its sesquicentennial in 2003, the same year it was named Gannett's Most Improved Newspaper.
